Ace Cafe London in Stonebridge combines a café, restaurant and live music venue. Car and motorcycle enthusiasts gather for events throughout the year. Part of a visit’s appeal is the conversation and machinery that arrive with the visitors.
The café opened beside the North Circular Road in 1938, initially serving travellers and truck drivers. Its location and round-the-clock opening also attracted motorcyclists.
After its closure in 1969, the 1994 Ace Cafe Reunion helped set its revival in motion. Part of the premises reopened in 1997, followed by the full reopening in 2001.
