Adventure Country Tracks completed its scouting ride for ACT Morocco in early October 2026. The project is set to become the organisation’s tenth track in its tenth year. After preparations in Marrakech, the team travelled to Midelt, the planned route’s starting point, and spent five days exploring roads through Morocco’s interior.
This was a route-development expedition, not the opening of a route for independent riders. The team returned to Marrakech on 11 October, while the organisation says the rider track will be published by the end of January 2027. That distinction matters when planning a trip: there is no released official track to follow yet, and the scouting team’s five-day schedule should not be assumed to suit every traveller.
Motorcycle traveller Charley Boorman joined the expedition alongside ACT chair Mirko Nagler and track manager Filipe Elias. The team also gathered footage for a documentary. A cinema premiere is scheduled in Cologne for 11 December, followed by a free public release on 25 December. Riders considering Morocco for a future season will have a clearer basis for planning once the route and its current conditions are published.
