The UK recorded 7,538 new motorcycle registrations in August 2026, including scooters classified as motorcycles. That represents a 17.1% increase over August 2025.

The broader total, which also covers mopeds and tricycles, reached 8,009 registrations, up 17.0%. Across January–August, the combined figure was 75,574, an increase of 15.7% over the same period last year.

Adventure registrations rose 41.4% to 1,652 in August. Naked motorcycles gained 23.3% to reach 1,742, while Touring registrations fell 9.9% to 91.

Growth was therefore uneven across categories. These figures describe UK new vehicle registrations; they do not measure used motorcycle transactions or the Latvian market.
