The MotoGP season moves to Phillip Island, Australia, on 23–25 October. It is round 18, and just two championship points separate Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez beforehand. Such a narrow gap gives Saturday’s sprint and Sunday’s main race added weight.
Practice takes place on Friday. MotoGP qualifying and the sprint follow on Saturday, with the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday. Moto2 and Moto3 will also race over the weekend.
Phillip Island opens the decisive stretch of the season. Malaysia, Qatar, Portugal and Valencia remain on the calendar after Australia, so every finish can matter in the title fight. The result, of course, will only be settled on the track.
