The Berlin–Copenhagen cycle route can also be explored in sections. From the Brandenburg Gate, it passes the Tiergarten and Charlottenburg before heading towards the Havel. On the German section, look for the blue-white-red route symbol.
The Rostock–Gedser ferry connects the two shores. Carrying a bicycle requires an add-on to the passenger ticket. Check in at least 30 minutes before departure in Rostock and 15 minutes in Gedser. Confirm your sailing and ticket conditions before travelling.
In Denmark, national route 9 follows Zealand’s east coast, Stevns Klint and Præstø Fjord, also reaching the island of Møn. For a shorter trip, choose a coastal section and allow time for stops instead of compressing the whole journey into a few days.
