Version 1.38 of Bosch’s eBike Flow app, released on 12 October, gives riders more control over how a compatible electric mountain bike responds. Traction control can be set in four stages where the equipment supports it. The system adjusts motor torque to help limit rear-wheel spin on loose or slippery ground.
The update also lets riders switch the Drivetrain Tensioner on or off separately for each custom riding mode. This function preloads the drivetrain, reducing free play at the pedal. For riders using Trick Check, the highest values recorded after a manoeuvre now stay on the display until the next attempt.
Perhaps the most useful everyday change is simple: when the charger is connected, the display shows the hours and minutes remaining until the battery is full. Riders should check their bike and component compatibility in the app before looking for the new settings. Electronic traction control is no substitute for suitable tyres and careful riding.
