A Cap Corse ride can begin in Bastia and finish in Saint-Florent, visiting Erbalunga, Centuri, Nonza and Patrimonio along the way. Such an itinerary can cover approximately 170 kilometres. With climbs, descents and frequent bends throughout, allow plenty of time for stops.

In the peninsula’s north, allow time for Moulin Mattei near Ersa. Reaching the viewpoint from the parking area takes approximately ten minutes on foot. Continue with a walk around Centuri’s harbour. These short breaks from the saddle reveal coastal details that are easy to pass while riding.

On the west coast, Nonza’s square Paoline tower stands approximately 160 metres above the sea. It was built in 1760 on Pascal Paoli’s orders. The view takes in the grey beach, Balagne and Monte Cinto; give this stop its own walking time rather than treating it as a passing glance.

The Sentier des Douaniers follows the peninsula’s tip for approximately 19 kilometres between Macinaggio and Centuri. Walking the full trail takes more than eight hours, so allow a separate day. For a shorter outing, choose a section with time to return, suitable footwear and water; check fire-risk guidance in strong winds.
