Ducati has expanded the Hypermotard family with two RVE versions for the 2027 model year: the 698 Mono RVE and the V2 RVE. Both use Graffiti-style graphics to create a shared visual identity. Beneath that appearance, however, they take different mechanical forms: one is a single-cylinder motorcycle and the other a twin. RVE is therefore more than a fresh colour for one bike; it is a design idea applied to two different interpretations of the Hypermotard.
The 698 Mono RVE revisits the line’s earlier graphics and, according to Ducati, includes homologated Termignoni silencers as standard in markets where they are available. The V2 RVE brings the RVE look to the twin-cylinder model, with two-tone wheels among its visual details. Compared with the standard V2, its equipment also includes Ducati Power Launch and Pit Limiter. The distinction shows how a design variant can involve specification as well as paintwork.
For a buyer, the common RVE name is not enough to make the two bikes interchangeable. Engine layout and listed equipment deserve separate attention, while availability of the silencers needs checking in the local market. Ducati’s announcement mainly describes design and equipment; it does not establish how either machine will feel on the road. The clear change is that one Hypermotard visual identity now extends across two technically different models.
