Engure is due to host a cyclocross event on 17 October. The Tukums municipality sports calendar lists the event from 09:00 to 15:00, with registration and the start by the Engure health centre. Anyone planning to ride should check the event regulations and entry arrangements before heading to the start.
The programme also highlights a retro bicycle ride. Organisers invite riders to bring an old-fashioned, colourful, flower-decorated or otherwise distinctive bicycle, and an expressive outfit is part of the fun. It gives the day a place in the cycling culture calendar as well as the sporting one.
Before taking part, check your bicycle’s brakes, tyres and attachments, and dress for the weather. The organiser’s published regulations set out the exact participation requirements and start arrangements.
