The MX2 season finale in Darwin on 20 September delivered Triumph’s first motocross world title. Spain’s Guillem Farres secured the championship by finishing second in the opening race. He ended the season on 904 points, 36 ahead of teammate Camden McLellan.

McLellan won the Australian Grand Prix, while Janis Martins Reisulis combined fourth and third in the races to finish third overall. It was the Yamaha rider’s third podium of the season; he placed sixth in the championship and received the award for the leading MX2 rookie.

Triumph also claimed the manufacturers’ title in only its third MX2 season. Farres moves to MXGP in 2027, making this finale both a career high and a stepping stone to the premier class.
