Italy’s Ghisallo cycling museum marks its twentieth anniversary with “20 Bikes for 20 Years”. Scheduled to run until 1 November 2026, the exhibition’s twenty-bicycle concept connects individual machines with sporting achievements. It offers a way to encounter racing’s past through objects that have survived it.
The museum stands in Magreglio beside the Madonna del Ghisallo sanctuary. Its permanent displays include workshop tools, historic team jerseys and a section on women in cycling alongside champions’ bicycles. This broadens the focus from the winner to the world that makes sport possible.
Such a collection rewards a slower look at materials, details and traces of use. A bicycle becomes the start of a conversation about work, ambition and its era. Even without personal memories of a particular race, visitors can read those stories through objects.
