The Cyclo-cross World Cup returns to Britain this season when Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park hosts its third round on 13 December 2026. The organiser’s calendar marks the event as the series’ return to Great Britain. A city-park setting gives the race a different feel from a remote rural course: spectators can encounter winter cycling competition within the city itself.

The programme includes elite races for women and men. In cyclo-cross, straight-line speed is only part of the contest. Changing surfaces, corners and possible mud reward precise bike handling and the ability to adjust pace quickly. The exact character of the Kelvingrove course and its race conditions will depend on preparation and weather, so there is no reason to assume in advance that it will be either dry or exceptionally muddy.

Glasgow falls early in the series, after the November rounds in Czechia and before the December sequence in Belgium. It offers an opportunity to see how riders carry their form between different courses while the overall standings are still taking shape. Anyone attending should check the current programme and entry arrangements before travelling to the park, as event-day details can change. Without predicting a winner, the round is a notable return for British cyclo-cross.
