The Hase PINO combines two different riding positions: the front rider reclines while the rear rider sits more upright. Their different seat heights give both a view ahead and make conversation easy.

A freewheel in the front drivetrain lets the front rider stop pedalling briefly while the other continues. Sharing a speed therefore does not require continuously matching effort.

The 2021 generation introduced a telescoping frame: its front section slides into the main frame to shorten the wheelbase. An adjustment assembly takes up the resulting chain slack, making the tandem more compact for storage and transport.

The shortened bike can also be ridden solo. Adjustable handlebar width and height help fit the steering position, while folding the bars assists transport. The design addresses two everyday questions together: how two people can ride comfortably and how a large bicycle fits into ordinary spaces.
