Norway’s Havøysund scenic route follows road 889 from Kokelv to the fishing village of Havøysund. It is 67 kilometres long. Bare rock and open sea define this stretch of Finnmark; allow time for stops when planning a motorcycle ride.

At Lillefjord, a footbridge across the Fosseelva river incorporates a shelter and benches. It also starts a riverside path towards the waterfall. Snefjord offers a different pause: three sheltered benches near the river mouth, looking out towards the sea.

Selvika changes the scene again. A curving concrete walkway descends to a recreation area beside the sandy Sandbukta beach. Modern architecture meets a much older human presence here, with traces of Neolithic settlement and Sámi culture in the surrounding area. Leave the motorcycle in the parking area and explore on foot.

Before setting off, check road conditions and the weather forecast, especially wind. The toilets at Lillefjord and Selvika have a stated season from early May to early October; do not rely on them outside that period. Planning these breaks turns a short distance into an unhurried coastal ride.
