In March 2026 Honda announced a third production line at Tapukara. It is planned to open in 2028, adding capacity for 670,000 vehicles annually. The line will accommodate commuter motorcycles and scooters.
A separate project is Vithalapur’s fourth line, announced in 2025. It is planned to open in 2027 with capacity for 650,000 vehicles annually. That would take the plant’s total capacity to 2.61 million units a year; the new line is intended for 125cc-class machines.
These figures describe planned capacity, rather than motorcycles already sold. For Latvian buyers, the investments alone establish neither changes in local prices nor availability of particular models. They do, however, underline the scale of everyday transport within a motorcycle industry often viewed through its sports and touring machines.
