Latvia's motorcycle season-closing celebration takes place in Jelgava on Saturday, 26 September 2026. Gathering starts at 10:00 outside Jelgava Palace; the parade leaves at 13:00. Set your navigation to Jelgavas pils, Lielā iela 2, Jelgava. All times are local Latvian time.
A Jawa motorcycle exhibition is planned in the palace courtyard before departure. Watching the exhibition and parade is free: you do not need a motorcycle to enjoy the celebration.
Arriving by car: the municipality recommends the meadow parking area opposite the palace at Vecais ceļš 1A. Several car parks around the palace and Pasta sala close to cars from 20:00 on September 25. Roads along the parade route close from 12:50 to 14:00 on September 26; buses may remain delayed afterwards. Arrive early and follow temporary signs.
From Riga, take a Vivi train to Jelgava and continue on foot. Check outward and return services on Vivi's website or app before travelling: timetable changes apply on the Jelgava line.
After the parade: the ROCKTAGONS 26 programme on Pasta sala begins at 14:00. Performers include Miks Galvanovskis, Laime Pilnīga and Huskvarn. The festival requires a separate ticket; admission is free for children under 16. Find tickets and the current evening programme on BezRindas. Published headline concert times differ, so do not plan your return journey solely around the poster.
For families, Mežs ienāk Jelgavā 2026 runs in the palace park from 10:00 to 17:00. Make a day of it: motorcycles in the morning, the parade at lunchtime and music afterwards. Check the municipality's latest announcements before setting off.
