The Curonian Loop starts in Klaipėda and traces a 185-kilometre journey around the Curonian Lagoon, Nemunas Delta and Curonian Spit. It passes Priekulė, Dreverna, Ventė, Šilutė and Rusnė before returning through Nida and Juodkrantė. One trip takes in a coastal city, fishing villages, delta waters and pine forests.

The changing surface shapes the ride. Between Klaipėda and Dreverna there are forest trails, gravel and asphalt, while parts of the delta section are uneven and include traffic. On the Curonian Spit, much of the route uses a dedicated cycle path. Riders can therefore choose sections to suit their experience: a smoother stretch for a family outing, or more time for gravel on a longer tour.

Before setting out, check the route map and the available crossings, since the loop connects both sides of the lagoon. Coastal wind also deserves a place in the plan, and 185 kilometres is more than a day’s ride for many people. The appeal lies in the contrast: a smooth path gives way to country roads, while seaside views give way to the delta landscape.
