Laia Sanz won her first women’s trials world title in 2000. After several seasons away, she returned to the world championship in 2021 and secured her fourteenth individual crown. Between 2011 and 2021 she contested eleven Dakars on a motorcycle, finishing ninth overall in 2015. From 2022 she competed in the Dakar in a car. Alongside her trials achievements, her record includes six women’s enduro world titles.
