Two races remain on the Latvian CX Cyclocross Cup calendar after the Mārupe and Salaspils rounds. The Latvian Cycling Federation schedules Smiltene for 25 October and Ozolnieki for 31 October. Ozolnieki is a new Cup venue this season, giving riders a different setting for the finale.
The overall standings count each rider’s best three results from four rounds. Both remaining starts can therefore matter to riders who missed one of the earlier races. The federation says a bicycle meeting CX rules is required in most age categories; the Open category also allows riders without one.
The Latvian championship is scheduled for 7 November in Dobele and will not count toward the Cup standings. Riders should check the rules and licence requirements for their category before entering. The autumn calendar offers a final chance to improve a Cup position followed by a separate championship race.
