L’Eroica returns to Gaiole in Chianti on 3–4 October 2026. The event began in 1997 with 92 participants and still connects cycling with the Tuscan landscape and a shared adventure. Here, history is part of the ride, as well as something to admire.
Participation is for historic or vintage-style bicycles and appropriate clothing. The routes include unpaved white gravel roads. Longer rides are scheduled for Saturday, with three shorter options on Sunday. Before travelling, check the current regulations for the chosen route and bicycle eligibility.
There is plenty beyond the riding: the programme includes the Eroica market, a bicycle elegance competition and exhibition, and the Mini Eroica children’s ride. Companions and visitors can use the weekend to explore classic cycling culture without taking on a full route themselves.
