The Lustūžkalns loop is a 22 km cycling route starting and finishing at the Valguma pasaule recreation complex. Orange markings on trees guide the circuit through the surroundings of Lake Valgums and Lustūžkalns.

The ride explores the hilly northwest of Ķemeri National Park. This area belongs to the Vanema hills of the Eastern Kurzeme Upland, while much of the park occupies lowlands and wetlands. Lustūžkalns is the park’s highest point. The appeal is the changing terrain and the chance to combine forest roads with the lake’s surroundings in a single outing.

Surfaces include asphalt, gravel and forest roads; traffic can be busy on the Milzkalne–Klapkalnciems road. Allow time for stops and adjust your pace to the surface. Save the route map and check the weather before setting off. Returning to the same starting point makes it easier to plan the day without a separate return journey.
