On 2 September 2026, Moto Guzzi inaugurated its new factory and museum complex in Mandello del Lario. The project took almost five years and cost more than €50 million. Production capacity exceeds 30,000 motorcycles annually; that describes the facility’s capabilities, rather than bikes already built or sold.
Designed by architect Greg Lynn, the complex maintains its connection to the company’s historic home beside Lake Como. Its 3,000-square-metre museum displays more than 160 motorcycles. Visitors can also look into the factory, bringing contemporary assembly into view alongside the historic collection.
For the industry, two separate questions matter: how much a factory can produce and how much demand a company can attract. A new facility addresses the first. Subsequent production and sales results will provide evidence for the second.
