France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK recorded 636,490 new motorcycle registrations in the first half of 2026, up 16.8% year on year. This is a total for those five markets, rather than a result for all Europe or Latvia.

Italy retained the largest volume at 220,776 registrations. Germany grew 27.6% and Spain 23.6%. A separate moped count covering six countries reached 72,076 units, up 4.7% from the first half of the previous year.

For buyers, these figures offer industry context without establishing local model availability or prices. New-vehicle registrations should be distinguished from the used-motorcycle market, and a half-year increase from a full-year outcome.
