Harrison Payne and Kevin Rousseau finished the 2026 Sidecar World Championship with a title they had also won together in 2024. At the sixth and deciding round in Oschersleben, Germany, victory in Saturday’s sprint secured the overall crown before Sunday’s main race.
The crew stayed ahead in the final race as well. It was their ninth win of the 2026 season, leaving them 40 points clear of British brothers Sam and Thomas Christie in the final standings. Pekka Päivärinta and Adam Christie took third.
Sidecar racing depends on coordinated work by two people: the rider steers while the passenger shifts body position through the bends. The Oschersleben weekend showed the value of consistency across both the shorter sprint and the longer main race.
