The Priedaine–Vārnukrogs–Priedaine cycling route makes a loop of about 11 kilometres. It begins and ends at Priedaine railway station, making it easy to combine the ride with a train journey. This side of the seaside resort feels different from the familiar Majori promenade: the route passes through Priedaine streets towards Vārnukrogs, where the built-up neighbourhood gives way to views of the river landscape.

The official route follows Lielais Avenue, Dreiliņu Street and Vārnukrogs Road, then loops through local streets before returning to Priedaine. Along the way, riders can look for Priedaine’s historic buildings and explore the Vārnukrogs neighbourhood. Natural points of interest include the White Dune, the area by the Buļļupe where the Lielupe once reached the sea, and the meadows near the Lielupe river mouth. The modest distance leaves room to pause rather than chase a fast time.

It is worth checking the route map and choosing stops before setting out, as the loop changes streets several times. In autumn, wet leaves and shorter daylight call for extra attention, while local signs should guide visitors in natural areas. This is less a long-distance ride with one destination than a relaxed way to connect Priedaine’s architecture, Vārnukrogs’s local history and the Lielupe landscape in a single outing.
