After a ride, clean dirt from the suspension fork’s upper tubes and wiper seals. Regular cleaning helps protect the sliding surfaces and limits contamination inside the lower legs. It is an everyday task, but it does not replace periodic internal servicing.

RockShox front-suspension guidance calls for lower-leg service after 50 riding hours. More extensive spring and damper servicing is due at 100 or 200 hours, depending on model year. Count riding time: five hours a week reaches 50 hours in about ten weeks. Check the precise schedule for your fork.

Use the serial number in the manufacturer’s service section to find component information and the appropriate manual. Record service dates and settings so you can restore your preferred setup afterwards. If a workshop handles the service, include this information when booking to help agree on the work required.
