In May, Royal Enfield announced plans to acquire land for a new factory near Tada, in Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The initial proposal envisaged total investment of around 25 billion rupees, with expansion phased to match demand.
On 29 July, the Eicher Motors board approved 12.25 billion rupees for the first phase. At full utilisation, it is intended to add up to 450,000 motorcycles of annual capacity. Completion is expected in the 2029–30 financial year; that capacity is still a future target.
Royal Enfield sold 126,479 motorcycles in August, up 11% on August 2025. Exports reached 12,275 units. Monthly sales growth and a factory programme spanning several years reveal two different timescales: the market activity happening now and the preparation needed to build more motorcycles in the future.
