The next SPEZI show takes place on 24–25 April 2027 at Messe Freiburg in Germany. Its focus is bicycles beyond conventional frame layouts: cargo and folding bikes, tandems, recumbents, tricycles and velomobiles.
Visitors can explore the designs and try riding them. Freiburg’s events calendar lists opening hours of 10:00–18:00 on both days, in local time. Check the current programme and ticket conditions before booking a trip.
One concrete task helps make sense of the variety: commuting, carrying groceries, touring as a pair or storing a bicycle in a small apartment. Then compare what matters for that task across the different designs, from getting aboard and handling to luggage space and the room needed for storage.
Bring practical questions for manufacturers about adjustment, transport and servicing. The most interesting discovery may be a small detail rather than the most unusual shape: something that helps explain how a differently designed bicycle could fit into everyday life.
