Sydkustleden connects Simrishamn with Helsingborg in southern Sweden. Its 260 kilometres are divided into six stages, allowing riders to choose one, combine several or tackle the whole route. Coastal scenery alternates with beaches and towns, including Malmö.
For a shorter outing, consider stage six from Landskrona to Helsingborg, approximately 26 kilometres. It passes the rolling Glumslöv landscape and the fishing villages of Borstahusen and Råå. With 190 metres of elevation gain, distance alone does not tell the whole story.
Study the stage map and download the GPX file before setting out. Stage six combines paved and gravel cycle paths with roads carrying mixed traffic. Leave room in the day for stops and changing weather.
