The 2026 indoor cycling world championships have a new venue and dates. Originally planned for Derby, Great Britain, from 16 to 18 October, the event will now take place in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The revised dates are 30 October to 1 November, at the MHP Arena.

Two very different disciplines share the championship. In artistic cycling, riders perform precise balance and movement figures on a bicycle. In cycle-ball, teams use their bicycles to drive a ball into the opposing goal. Both demand exceptional control, yet offer spectators contrasting ways to experience cycling.

The move followed the Derby organiser’s announcement that it could no longer ensure the event would go ahead. German Cycling and local partners have taken on the championship at short notice. Anyone planning to travel or watch should use the revised venue and dates when making arrangements.
