Trieste will become the first Italian city to host the EuroVelo and Cycling Tourism Conference. Its tenth edition is scheduled for 29 September to 1 October 2027. The Friuli Venezia Giulia region, PromoTurismoFVG and the Italian cycling federation FIAB are involved in organising it with the European Cyclists’ Federation, ECF.
The conference brings together route managers, public authorities, tour operators, researchers, transport providers and accommodation businesses. Their different perspectives meet around a practical question: how can a line on a map become an enjoyable, easy-to-plan cycling holiday?
EuroVelo conferences focus on exchanging knowledge, developing cycle tourism and its benefits for local communities. That perspective also matters for Baltic route planners: a visitor’s experience includes reaching the route and finding services along it. Trieste’s dates are confirmed; detailed travel arrangements can follow as the organisers release further information.
