Dolce Via covers around 90 kilometres of former railway routes in France’s Ardèche. From La Voulte-sur-Rhône it follows the Eyrieux valley to Le Cheylard, where the onward branches lead towards Lamastre or Saint-Agrève. A connection with ViaRhôna makes it an option within a longer tour.

The eight-kilometre section from Le Cheylard to Les Nonières gains height across bridges and viaducts. It leads to the illuminated, 320-metre Les Nonières tunnel. The route continues towards Lamastre, while a separate sloping path provides access to the village centre, 300 metres away.

Most of the route has a compacted mineral surface, with some asphalt sections. A hybrid or mountain bike suits the terrain. Parts also provide access to homes and farms, so motor traffic is possible; cyclists use the road through Les Ollières-sur-Eyrieux.

On 25 October 2026, the section between Le Cheylard and La Voulte-sur-Rhône will close to cyclists and pedestrians from 08:30 to 16:00 for a marathon. From 19–30 October, roadworks near Saint-Martin-de-Valamas will divert local traffic on weekdays, 07:30–18:00, onto part of Dolce Via. Check current notices before departure and follow signs on site.
